We are currently looking for the following applicants:

Live In Carers Required
in Malvern and surrounding area.

To assist with personal care, household tasks and cooking. Carer will live in clients home; have a separate bedroom, and time off each day.
Food and facilities all provided.

The following rota’s are available:

  • Permanent live in (holidays and time off only)
  • Four weeks on, two weeks off
  • One week on, one week off
  • Two weeks on, two weeks off
  • Monday to Friday
  • Friday to Monday

Salary from £450 per week (pro rata)

Experienced Carers Required

To provide care to people in their own homes in Worcester, Malvern, Ledbury & surrounding area’s.

Senior Carers: £7.50 - £9.00ph, Plus travel time and petrol allowance

Morning, Evening, Weekend duties available

Full or Part time work. Transport required.

JOB TITLE: Home Care Worker

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Home Care Organiser

Job Purpose

To undertake such personal and social care as is required for the well-being of customers in their own homes and to keep a watching brief on their changing needs, whilst at the same time conducting yourself in a courteous and professional manner so as to promote a positive image of yourself and Care 4 Me.

Duties

1. Observing each customers needs and reporting, on a regular basis, to the Home Care Organiser.

2. Reporting to the office immediately, any concerns or change with regard to the customer’s wellbeing.

3. Have individual responsibility, for the personal needs of customers.

4.The provision of personal care (dressing, washing, toileting and feeding etc), for individual customers in their own homes.

5. Social duties include talking, reading to customers, taking customers for walks, assisting with shopping and other recreational activities and helping customers to maintain contact with family, friends and the local community.

6. To undertake light domestic duties to assist customers to care for their homes e.g. cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.

7. Creating a supportive homely atmosphere where customers can achieve maximum independence.

8. Referring for nursing requisites, meals on wheels, and other appropriate services to the office.

9. Making appointments for customers with the doctor, nurse or chiropody services.

10. To have an awareness of customers medical needs in consultation with the office, GP or District Nurse as appropriate.

11. Assisting, where required, in the management of a customer’s income, paying rent and other household bills, and keeping a strict account for checking by the office.

12. To record all relevant details of duties, comments on the customers condition and any other relevant information in the report book and to notify the office accordingly.

13. To participate in and contribute to a team in the provision of care to customers by operating a flexible method of working.

14. To attend training courses as required.

15. Where appropriate to attend periodic individual and/or group supervision sessions.

Never attempt any task for a customer which you are unsure of, have not been instructed to undertake, or which is not within your competency level.
